A 31-year-old convenience store clerk suffered a minor gunshot wound late Friday when three masked men entered the business and one fired off a shot from a 30-30 lever-action rifle (think Chuck Connors in “The Rifleman”), Milwaukee Police said today. ... The trio hadn’t demanded money and left as soon as the shot was fired.
“This convenience store ain’t big enough for the four of us.”

LOL ... I'm good friends with my sheriff, and one day I was sitting in his office and he was showing me a busted revolver he'd taken off a crook.
He was dry firing it and it wouldn't shoot (IIRC it was the trigger mechanism). Then he turned it sideways and pulled the trigger, and the hammer fired.
We decided then that busted trigger mechanisms are the reason why the hoodlums always turn their guns sideways.
