AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2251) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | May 22, 2007 | All of Us

Posted on 05/22/2007 4:24:18 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

Unfortunately, the latest non-amnesty amnesty bill made it passed the cloture hurdle and on to debate. This is truly a sad day for America. Crime, apparently, can pay if you wait long enough.

We must be taking lessons from the French--we appear ready to surrender to the invading illegals without firing a shot.

In that light, how about a common sense suggestion--instead of legislation that provides legal status to millions who don't even respect our laws, how about a Constitutional Amendment along the following lines:

Section 1: The provisions of this Constitution apply only to those people who were born in the sovereign territory of the United States, those who have entered the said territory through lawful means, or who are the children of those who were either born in the sovereign territory of the United States or who have entered the said territory through lawful means.

Section 2: All people who are citizens of the United States upon the enactment of this Amendment are considered to be in the United States through lawful means.

Section 3: The Congress has the authority to enact appropriate legislation to enforce this Amendment.

Section 4: This Amendment will enter into force provided that three-forths of the several states shall concur in such within seven years of passage by the Congress.

Just a thought...

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

It is better. Mostly.

But yesterday I woke with a whopper of a migraine. I don’t know if it was the meds I took or if it was the headache itself, but that put me asleep until about 2:30 yesterday afternoon. The moments I did wake were intensely pain-filled.

The rest of the day was half-awake, half-zonkered.

Today has been normal.

Monday we had our little Moonshine spayed. She’s a bit old for it but since her brother has the better genes, she was the candidate.

But to make the surgery a little more trickey, she went into heat on Friday. And we do not have a modern surgery with heart monitors and breathing aparatus. This was anesthetize the dog, slice, snip and tug.

But before that, the vet had given me some meds to make her sleepy. I was to give them to her at 7. I did. At 7:05 she threw them all up. Yuck.

I cleaned up the mess, recovered the pills and poked them back down her gullet.

3 minutes later I repeated the process. Fortunately, for my stomach, the pills stayed down this time.

Then hubby and I waited for the pills to take effect. Then, we put her in a big zippered bag to take to the clinic which is at the school. Remember, our mode of transportation is on motorcycles. Yes, that’s right. Hubby drove the bike, I sat behind him holding the bag with the dog. She was quiet so I let her poke her head out of the bag. She was very quiet. No movement at all.

Until we got to the one red light in town. And things got noisy.

And she got scared.

The light changed and we moved on. But she was still upset. And she got more upset. Then, she bit my leg. Ouch.

We waited in line to turn onto the school road. Finally we made that turn. By now she was winning. “Stop this bike. I must get off.”

I get off the bike just in time to regain control. I shoved her head back down in the bag and quickly zipped it. She is really mad. So she tried to bite my arm.

I locate her head again and we take off up the hill to the school. We get to school. I jump off the bike and ease the bag with Moonshine onto the sidewalk. I speak soothingly to her and pet her. Then I slowly unzip the bag. She pokes her head out and glares at me.

But since she’s not on the bike and the pills are still working she doesn’t move.

More in a bit.

Moonshine and I waited quietly outside the clinic; we were early; for the vet to finish playing hockey and for the Youngest to show up. The Youngest has been assisting the vet and getting some OJT to see if this is work she really wants to do.

So, this was cool for her. Not only was it a bit of a tricky spay, but she got to skip one of her most detested classes, too. It was good.

The tricky part is that being in oestrus caused Moonshine to be a bit of a bleeder. But the Youngest swabbed and dabbed and helped give the anesthetic and prepare the needles and do all of that fun slimey stuff. She held retractors and the uterus and felt the muscle and all sorts of insides of that dog.

Now, Moonshine is at home and feeling very sorry for herself. We have her on antibiotics and are still keeping her separate from the other dogs. She really is not in charity with Whiskey her brother. I think she must focus on him as being the source of her misery. HA! Little does she know.

Her recovery is slow, but it is definite. And the job is done so it er, won’t be done in the future. If you know what I mean. And the Youngest has something to put on her resume.

Late start this morning........where are my manners.....

Good morning to all.......sun shining in Hoosierland, we are suppose to have rain tomorrow...we need it.

Interesting article about the Democrats blinking and the President getting his way on NO-TIME LINE for with-draw of troops from Iraq.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1838374/posts

(Congressional Democrats cave to Bush on Iraq)

I was on the road yesterday with my daughter and listening to the radio and at the news breaks ABC announces this big news item like as though it was nothing...if the President had given in...it would have been MAJOR NEWS....but the media is in bed with the Democrats, so it was just glossed over. I was so mad, I said I could bite a penny into..and my daughter handed me a penny.....LOL.

Have I told anyone I hate the media!!! They are a big part of what is wrong with this country!!

I was sad to read that one of the kidnapped soldiers had been found in a canal in Iraq, he had been shot numerous times....prayers for all of them and their families.

Jemian....that was quite some trip with your dog...I can tell you love your animals...you surely must after what you went through. Quite a daughter, you have there too.

This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!!!

Good Morning Everyone.

NewsBee, I know exactly what you mean about the perpetrators of anti-Americanism, promoters of multi-culturism, anti-American History in schools, attack America first...I’ll stop right there, cause I’ll become angry. I call the lot presstitutes for good reason. I’ve forgotten who first used the word, but I love it and use it all the time. presstitutes have been bought by the left and are the hand maidens (male & female) of the DNC.

Till....you expressed just how I have felt about the anti-Americanism (is that a word?) so well.

Northern Yankee....it is wonderful that your daughter is home and I did get a kick out of you not recognizing her at once. I know you and your family are going to have some great times getting reacquainted. Sometime I will tell you the story about when my son came home for a visit, he had been sitting on an aircraft carrier off Iran for almost a year!

Thanks for your note!

I look forward to hearing about your son.

Carolyn is settling in, but has a busy summer ahead with summer interim classes, working as a counselor at our local university, and guiding incoming freshman around campus.
