I don’t keep a ping list but this could be important and I can’t find a thread on it yet, just a post I made yesterday about it.
FOX news is now claiming that the conversation on one of the Sunday shows between Kay Bailey Hutchenson and Arlen Spector could be the answer to getting the immigration bill passed, and FOX is calling it ‘PROGRESS IN THE IMMIGRATIN DEBATE’.
I cannot believe the gaul of these people. She’s decided that the reason American’s are outraged and calling the bill amnesty is ONLY because of the timing of the ‘touch backs’. She seems to think we will support the bill if the timing of the ‘touch back’ is changed. Arlen Spector said something along the lines of their conversation being ‘breaking news’ because he felt they now might be able to find a ‘compromise’ that will get the bill passed!!!!
Well, I don’t know about you, but I am adamantly opposed to this ‘touch back’ scheme. It was proposed a long time ago by Pence and Bush embraced it and rallied it to the Republicans as a ‘compromise’. Illegal aliens and their ENTIRE FAMILIES, IMO, should have to go home and WAIT THERE, IN LINE behind everyone else waiting to get in legally. And it should be accomplished by enforcing our CURRENT immigration laws once the border is effectively secured.
