Thanks Sybeck, I did try the Marshall Academy link you provided, but didn’t see much of interest. If you do post the pics at some point, how could we view them? I just found this message board today, is there a photo section on it? Any old memories or Shep stories would be fun for both his fans and those who can’t stand him to hear. :))

I don’t watch TV so I never saw any of it. NOLA was a big cold city and it was easy to sensationalize it. Blacksburg is a small town and we were literally stunned by the whole incident. Our response was to circle the wagons and the media was unable to find a weak point. I talked to a lot of reporters and they were all surprised at how fast we all came together and we all took care of one another. Shep even mentioned that in one of his broadcasts. I guess it is a small-town big-town difference.

I saw that. My nephew attends Lynchburg btw. We were a bit worried when the first reports began coming out that day, but all was well.
