My question here, however, was whether the age of consent should be 18 or not. It's the age of consent for everything else (except alcohol at 21). At least it'd be consistent.

Also, a citizen must be 21 to buy a handgun. Rifles and shotguns are 18.

None of the other cases you mention has anything to do with the minimum age at which people can give legal consent.
