K.C. City Council Passes Resolution Against American Citizen Francis Semler

Here is the resolution passed today by the Kansas City City Council Members:

RESOLUTION NO. 070692

Requesting Parks and Recreation Commissioner Frances Semler resign, alternatively, requesting the Mayor to recommend to the Council her removal from the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners.

WHEREAS, the work of the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners is recognized in the Citys form of government as essential for enhancing the way of life of all Kansas Citians; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners is responsible for the stewardship of millions of dollars devoted to the parks and community centers for all the City; and

WHEREAS, without the confidence of elected officials of the City and the residents of the City the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners cannot be effective in its mission; and

WHEREAS, the appointment of Commissioner Frances Semler will likely be a divisive force in our community rendering the work of the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners suspect in many quarters; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Council respectfully requests Parks and Recreation Commissioner Frances Semler recognize the potential for community distrust of the work of the Board with her involvement as a Commissioner, and respectfully requests her resignation from the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners.

Section 2. That if Parks and Recreation Commissioner Frances Semler does not resign within one week of the passage of this resolution, that the Mayor, in accordance with section 1001(b) of the City Charter is requested to recommend to the Council the removal of Commissioner Semler from the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners.

Yes Vote:Ford,Riley,Johnson,Curls,Jolly,Sharp,Gottstein, Marcason,Circo

This is a fifty minute discussion. The gist of the issue in her membership in the MCDC. "Armed vigilante groups", "Neo nazi", National Alliance... denounced as a leader of a hate group. I think she is toast.

The City council is believing the line of SPLC.

Actually The part dealing with Semler last 25 minutes. None of the Council has even attempted to do their homework on MCDC.

MCDC does not look that good on examination, but they are not the KKK.
