Since The Sopranos’ premiere in 1999, critics have preached that it was like nothing else on television: It was novelistic (Dickensian!), cinematic (Fellini-esque!), iconic (Is there any other show where most viewers still watch the opening credits?), a metaphor for Bush’s America.

Great article. But it seems to me that in 1999, we were still in Clinton's America.

And now, in Hillary’s new video, The Clintons have replaced the Sopranos as America’s mob family.

Was choosing the booth in the same diner as that in the Soprano’s final episode, with one of Tony’s mobsters looking on, a good choice?

Will it remind America just how corrupt, venal, and criminal the Clintons are?

The never-ending soap opera continues.
