Investigators reportedly found a body in Meyers Lake believed to be that of Jessie Marie Davis.
A source close to the family of Bobby Cutts Jr. said the body was found earlier today.
Davis was nine-months pregnant with a child believed to be Cutts' and had a 2-year-old by him. The 26-year-old was last seen June 13, and Cutts was among the last people known to have talked with her.
Sources said Cutts is in custody, and the Stark County Sheriff's Department has a press conference scheduled for 6 p.m. today.
Cutts, 30, has been a Canton police officer since 2001.
News Reports are now saying Cutts has confessed and led police to where he dumped the body.
I wonder if he cut a deal with the cops...no death penalty if he confessed and told them what he’d done with the body.
That’s a pretty sweet deal for murdering two people.
Bump
Of course he cut a deal. Have you noticed how many times the news people have repeated the mantra "Bobby Cutts has been cooperating with investigators" ?
As for the death penalty, he will get his justice when the inmates in his prison find out he is an ex-cop who murdered a mother and an unborn infant. He may get stabbed a few times.
Must be a first for FOX news...they are refusing to report anything they consider ‘rumor’. Only that the family has arrived at the police station.
When I heard Cutts speak in interviews, it creeped me out. He had almost a dead ringer voice quality and manner of speaking as Scott Peterson. There’s something weird about the voices of socio/psychopaths, even if otherwise they’ve managed to appear normal until their crimes.
God rest her soul and the soul of her unborn child. Her small son will grow up without a mother. Cutts, a big brave man when it comes to killing a woman and an unborn baby will more than likely be a whining pussy begging for protective custody when he goes to prison. I hope he comes to a grisly end.
How sick and sad, if true. Chilling.
I think the police lie about that for legal reasons. I believe that once someone is labeled a suspect they have legal rights that they dont have prior to that. So if I understand this right, the police have more latitude with someone if he hasnt been named a suspect.
Interesting. I thought, perhaps eroneously, that police lied about someone's being a suspect so as not to tip them off that they're being investigated. Wouldn't want them to leave town, you know.
How sad. I’m watching on Fox now. There is about to a press conference at the Sheriff’s Department.
>>Wow.. according to our local news, he was not even a suspect OR person of interest yesterday. I guess they will have to come up with a new label for people being investigated.<<
My newphew-in-law is a Canton police officer. Cutts was a police officer as well.
They were saying that he was not a suspect and the whole force was hush, hush. They were afraid they would spook him into bolting.
But they did search his house and he was being watched.
Wow- thanks for ping- had TV off...going to check now :(
News conference up now.
Here comes the ACLU, Al Sharpton, Rev’um Jesse and appeal after appeal, year after year. Wish we had immediate public hangings for monsters like this.
I’m curious about something. Normally when they get to this stage- the police will say something more than they did just now. They didn’t even say WHERE they found her..though it seems pretty clear it was in a lake.
I’m wondering why they are giving SO little information- is even the location of the body being disclosed apt to contaminate the prosecuation?
I know ... very vague and brief .. sounds like they need to get more facts to build an airtight case. I think there may be an accomplice, as well. I think the scumbag got drunk and lost his marbles.
