Flightglobal.com has obtained pictures of the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner headed for the paint shop earlier this week at Boeing's assembly plant in Everett, Washington. The aircraft is scheduled to be formally rolled out on 8 July (7/8/7 using the US date convention) and fly for the first time in August or September. Entry into service with launch customer, All Nippon Airways, is slated for next May.

Looks like they pulling it off.
We have some ealy RSG’s in the US.
BYE BYE AIRBUS!
Just curious..is this the FIRST time a new Boeing airliner has been inagurated in service with a non-US flag carrier?
Nah. So long as Europe is willing to sacrifice their own prosperity to prop up a failing company, Airbus will gladly devour their incomes.
I bet this particular plane is going to wear the colors of several major airlines before it gets its final paint job prior to delivery. You can bet Boeing will want to show-off for every delegation that comes for a looksee.
Are Dealer Prep and Destination charges included in the price?
Yeah, but tax, title, and license are still extra.
I believe they’ve changed the name to “AIRBUST.”
Works for me.
Did these Euroweenies REALLY think they could sell 50 of those behemouths every year even if they had come in on schedule at proper weight and price?
What major sections are built in foreign countries?
I don’t know. Interesting question.
It’s good to see the U.S. exporting manufatured goods though.
Oh baby!
That’s ok. in 40 years there wont be a Europe.
Several sections sir. The problem with Airbus is not where it is built. The problem is the management team and government interference and direction. Because of government subsidies Airbus is immune to the normal ups and downs and success and or failure of normal marketing. That is why they build an inferior product. They have good engineers and workers and designers.
The next time you do your income tax take a good look at the forms and ask yourself, "do I want the government designing and building the planes I fly on?"
I’m hearing a ball bearing shaking in a spray can right now.

I certainly don’t want the Chinese building any part of any vehicle which I will travel on. Furthermore I am not satisfied that we are no longer capable of building a large commercial aircraft ourselves.
Tha same can be said for a USA.
I always liked ErrorBust for the name..
ErrorBust is (c) N3WBI3 ;)
It is a beautiful final product, though. Some major fuselage components were made at the Charleston Airport just a few miles from my old home-place. I can’t wait to fly on one.
