He has had that in house and let it go once already.

I wonder what the contract implication are to this. Do players have a decency type clause?

Too bad Blank traded away a decent QB. Should be less than a week before Goodell hands down a fat suspension just to make sure. So much for the Falcons season.

He already traded one to Houston when he decided to keep Vick. Gaux Saints!

He had a decent QB. Unfortunately, that QB now plays for the Texans.

That’s why I said “maybe”. And if it does, I don’t know if an indictment alone would trigger it.

We’ll see soon, I expect.

Vick is probably the first person charged with having a dog in the fight since maybe, what 1811? Another ambitious prosecutor. They’ll probably indict teammate Portis for sticking up for him. See: http://asp.usatoday.com/community/tags/topic.aspx?req=tag&tag=Portis

Naw, I forgot, he’s a Clinton

That was my first thought. Daunte Culpepper should sign with the Falcons.

Vick would be perfect for the Bengals.

Google is your friend.
If you look around a bit,
you'll see "dog fighting"

is an active theme
for investigations and
prosecutions, too.

Yeah, I think they did too. It'll be interesting to see how Shaub does in TX as a starter instead of playing second fiddle to a thug trackstar.

The racial politics of this case are going to be nauseating.

Actually people get charged with participating in dog fights all the time. It’s big business and the people that get busted frequently also have narcotics, you know how much cops like to be able to add drug charges.

Are you sure Football fans will care what PETA protests? They gripe about hotdogs being served anyway. Besides, where do you get the thousands of PETA protestors? Rent-a-Border-Crosser (i.e. a job Americans won’t do)?

Doesn't really matter that much in the NFL as contracts are not guarranteed. I player can be cut for any reason and the rest of his contract is over.

Pretty much the only implications are salary cap related.

Vick will play every game barring injury or imprisonment while awaiting trail if it goes that far. M. Vick IS just too valuable for NFL to doing anything that will result in Vick not playing every down for the Falcons this season.

Maybe under Tags but Goodell is the law and order guy, he’s been throwing around some fat suspensions without guys even being indicted and with their possible indictments being only misdemeanors. If he gives Vick less than a half season suspension the whole “get tough” approach he’s taken will lose it’s moral footing and disintegrate.

I bet Daunte Culpepper is dancing around his house at the moment! Ok he is hopping around his house on his one good leg. But, I garauntee he has already booked a flight to Atlanta and is probably texting his agent every 10 seconds "have you reached Blank yet????"

If the Falcons do sign HIm, I bet Atlanta fans will be riveted to see who wins the QB fight Joey SCAREington or DONEtay Culpepper.

Those guys were repeat offenders however. Vick, as far as I know, has never been arrested. The bottle he threw away at the airport was tested for drugs and came up clean.

It is fairly easily to indict someone, especially in an overly emotional issue like dog fighting.
