Composite cables - Offers lower grade HD picture, but needs a separate cable for sound (usually audio cables that only offer stereo sound).

These are component cables, not composite.On some TV's you will get a better picture using these instead of HDMI cables. Don't ask me why, but I have seen it myself.

RCA cables - NOT HD, no matter what anybody says. These are always yellow for video, and read and white for sound (stereo sound only).

These are the composite cables, I agree, never ever use them on an HD set- It will look like crap.

You are correct; a 12 pack and I mix up Composite/RCA and Component.

Some TV’s look better with component vs. HDMI because they can’t handle the imput stream of the wider bandwith produced by HDMI. It’s much like when you stream a video online at a higher speed than your connection allows, only on a minor level.
