On second thought how would anyone but the artist know it wasn’t part of the original work?

If it’s an oil painting, a little alcohol will take it off.

I'm going through his work to try to figure out which painting has the lipstick.

Was it this one?

Or, this one?

Or, this one?

I just can't tell!

Is this the picture? Before or after?

(Actually from Wikipedia.)

"Twombly is known for his abstract paintings combining painting and drawing techniques, repetitive lines and the use of graffiti, letters and words."

Perhaps he should pay her for adding value to the "art". She should sue him!!

Now for my usual- We the people need to force our elected representative government to do our bidding and cut all taxpayer funding for the so called "arts".

So you look at the painting and nothing makes sense or looks like anything identifiable but the one saving grace is: Oh look, a lipstick mark!

They appear to have been done by an overactive four year old.

A sample; not likely the work in question:

Not that it makes any difference at all but the middle one seems to be upside down.

I’m wondering how the lipstick smudge was discovered.

What I’d like to know is why did she want to kiss THIS work of art in the first place?

I’d throw the book at her - you have to draw the line somewhere, kissing art wearing lipstick is an absolute wrong.

You know...no one has the right to ruin anyone else's work or property....

But, I really can’t look at this stuff and take the ‘artist’ title serious.

This man isn’t an “artist” in any since of the word.

I thought you were joking. But I checked the source URL, and that really is being pawned off as art.

Disgusting isn't it? and to think we pay all sorts of grants for what is simply scribbling that any 2 year old given a crayon can do.

These "artists' spend 11/1/2 months of the year smoking pot, and taking other chemicals to reach that one moment of inspiration, and -Voila! Art. ANd most of the time it's leftist crap that denounces the very country that gave them the money to make this trash.

To add insult to injury, the government ( always a leftist democrat troll) purchases this art (which has already been purchased with taxpayers money) on behalf of the government (the people) and hang it in their government office.

Sickening.

Maybe this is a cry for attention. He probably has an exhibit somewhere that no one is coming to see.
