Lane closures on the interstate that go on and on for miles and miles with no construction, then there is 100 yards of construction activity, then miles and miles of continued lane closure after with no construction.

Yep. By your “About page”, I see you are from Texas. You must drive 35, 10, 20 or other interstate highways regularly. I’ve seen that on IH 35 several times between Austin and the 35 E & 35 W split.
