Photo by J. D. Leipold September 8, 2006 Old Glory is retired from the Smithsonian National Museum of American History by the Army Old Guard Aug. 7, 2006. It will never be flown again. On Sept. 12, 2001, a day after the terrorist attacks, this flag was draped over the side of the Pentagon, where it remained for a month before it went to the museum. We have so many pictures of the Twin Towers but I have only 2 noting the hit and carnage at the Pentagon. I had lost the caption to my retiring of the flag..Now I have it..Thank you
Thank you for the music..God bless this nation again indeed.
