More rain for the flooded areas of this summer... could be a big issue depending on speed.

Hopefully, she’ll not have time to increase wind speed much before interacting with land. Has So. Tx had as much rain as much of the rest of the state over the past months?

Unless the Bermuda high eases, y’all aren’t going to get rain relief from Dean either.

NautiNurse,
We’ve had rain all summer, that’s very unusual for us. The ground is saturated.
A good number of people are saying they think this year has been much like the summer before Beulah. At the old airport they had a piece of tape where the waters from Beulah were, I believe it was 12 or 14 feet.
So, yes people are a little nervous, not about the winds or surge, but flooding.

I know. I also know we’re not the only ones suffering from a lack of rain, but telling that to my farmer friends who are losing their crops does nothing to help them.

I know what you mean. I was “down your way” this past weekend on a visit to a friend of mine in Salisbury, and the corn was really in a sad state in many fields. There was a sign I saw on the side of the road that said, “Pray for Rain.” Our region needs a good soaking rain.
