The people who want to legalize hemp get very upset when you confuse that with marijuana.
So, what's Hempfest all about?

According to
The Big Blog,
The first time I met Vivian McPeak was about 15 years or so in the past when he was living with a woman named Cornflake in an upper-floor smoke-filled apartment that looked out on the alley between University Way Northeast and Booklyn Avenue. He struck me then as an engaging dreamer dedicated to his passionate pursuit of decriminalized marijuana laws and his determined civic activism, which later would include standing at the forefront of the WTO protests.:McPeak is a founder of Hempfest.

Here, from the P. I., is a follow-on article about Hempfest with a
picture gallery. Many unique and impressive specimens are featured.

Sarah Conway, who works for a company that makes decorative pasties,
shows off the marijuana leaf model as she takes a smoke from a large joint.
I haven't found the article on industrial and household uses of HEMP yet.
