By the standards of the internet, the photograph is relatively tame: an 18-year-old girl, standing in a bedroom in front of deep red curtains, pulling back her hair and smiling for the camera.
She’s stark naked, of course.
But this is a nude picture like no other. It could, in fact, represent one of the most expensive PR disasters in recent media history.

She’s 19 and getting kind of old for Disney. Some of these actors run the risk of becoming what Ralph Machio did in Karate Kid 3...old and fat.

What I’d like to know is how the hell the photo found its way onto the Internet.
WRONG - it will double the market potential (and maybe then some).
Keep in mind that the ONLY Miss America to have a successful career apart from the pageant was Vanessa Williams, who managed to bounce back from softcore lesbian photos published in a major men’s magazine of the time.
Of course, the fact that she posed naked for her boyfriend suggests they are sleeping together, which itself would hurt the Disney “wholesome” image if they still had one.
Same thing happened with Traci Lords when it was discovered she was underage while doing porn.
I am sure she will be fine also. As a matter of fact, I think it will help her from being typecasted.
I’ll bet ‘ole Hugh Hef is trying to sign her up for a centerfold spread before he dies.
I feel bad for her as either her bf or a hacker got them out for everyone to see.
Very few actors can have a major success at ANY age. Even those who were child stars/adult hasbeens should count their blessings that they even had such fame.
Disney’s name hasn’t meant “wholesome” for over a generation, when they started Hollywood Pictures, Dimension Films, Miramax, et al and their ownership of the ABC Network has done nothing to alter that perception.

Just to their High School Musical franchise...which is all the rage right now among young girls.
I never heard of her or the show until she showed her assets.... so it’s working for them already.

Kind of a sad commentary on American society today, isn’t it, that we have gone from Annette to this trash? I wonder what becomes of a society that has plunged itself into such a precipitous moral descent. Unfortunately, I believe there may be a Rachet Effect.
What Traci did was a shrewd, brilliant move. As an X-Rated actress (even with a convincing fake ID) she was only paid one time for her movies. She earned nothing from residual sales. By the time she was 18, she was a huge star in the business but made no money from her work. What to do? Easy! She exposed the fact that she was underage rendering all of her previous films and photos illegal and unmarketable. Once her films had been pulled from the shelves, she capitalized on her fame to make one film as a legal adult. Per her contract she retained all control over this film and made a fortune thanks in part to her newfound notoriety. Then she quit the X-Rated business and found modest success in mainstream entertainment.
So she violated her contract with the producers of "7th Heaven" and did an artsy nude photoshoot for a British "upscale" lad mag when she was 17.
She then won a role as a jaded and sleazy coed in The Rules Of Attraction directed by hip underground director Roger Avary and parlayed that into small roles in Cellular and Elizabethtown, until The Illusionist made her an A-list name.
Her “boyfriend” Zac Efron’s career is skyrocketing right now so Vanessa could use a little help coming out from behind his shadows. Couple that with rumors in the blogosphere and gossip columns about his sexuality and I have no problem guessing out how those pictures were “leaked.”
She emailed the pict's to here boy friend who claims he never got them but they went to someone else. SURE!!!!!!
They showed her on fox news when they were talking about the pictures are I would have been like you, and will be again next week, because it is not much, she's short and would never make it as a hooters girl!

When I was a teenager I had a boyfriend who was into photography. We went out to the desert and he took pictures (he later told me they didn’t look like I do in person, but I never saw them) of me around his jeep. The most risque I got was something that would be like something on the cover of Vogue (probably more tame). I wouldn’t allow for more, since at 18 I didn’t want anything out there if I ever became famous someday. LOL!
That’s why I think it’s silly when people go on about an actor who eventually got out of the spotlight. Saying, “So and so no longer has a career.” They might. Just not in the entertainment industry. Not everyone wants to be in that environment their whole life.
