The core vulnerability with China is that we cut taxes without cutting spending and China buys most of the U.S. treasuries. So we are basically running the country and the war on a Chinese credit card that they can cancel or call in at any time.
Tax cuts without spending cuts are empty tax cuts.
The next President needs to balance the budget, not play to crowd with empty tax cuts.
And the only candidate who is addressing the rumbling volcano in any sane albeit idiosyncratic way is...reviled and mocked by the cognoscenti.
