I’m trying to give “Flash Gordon” a reasonable chance. But sometimes, there is an episode so dreadful that I throw in the towel and won’t go back. There was one such episode in “Battlestar Galactica” that was stupid I quit. This last episode of “Flash Gordon” with the Hawkmen was an eyeroller, and if there is one more like it I quit!
The two things on my mind throughout the episode: Are they going to explain how after disappearing from 1941 and being stranded in AD 200100 he reappeared in the 21st century? And, why does the guy playing Harper look so familar?
IMDB helped with the second question and Harper's got a Sci-Fi connection, once removed: He was in "Bleak House" on Masterpiece Theater, which costarred Gillian Anderson, who was the reason that I watched it. (For the uninitiated, that's Dickens, not sci-fi.)
Is tonight the season finale of the 4400?
As soon as I heard Flash Gordon wouldn’t have spaceships, I knew it would be crap, and it appears I was right. The Hawkmen gliding and not FLYING!? Are they trying to make this series fail?
