"Stacy Johnson-Klein took the witness stand Wednesday to say she was
groped, pawed, harassed, humiliated and patronized by Fresno State athletic department officials for nearly three years as women's basketball coach -- then was fired in retaliation for persistently demanding equal treatment for women."
Johnson-Klein tells her side in court
"Johnson-Klein lawyer Warren Paboojian in October asked the court for permission to use the Pettis testimony. Paboojian said Pettis will testify that players in the men's program switched urine samples and were given masking agents by the coaching staff so they could pass drug tests. Paboojian said Pettis' testimony shows Fresno State had a double standard on drug use, and Johnson-Klein suffered for it.""On Monday, Johnson-Klein said university officials learned of the pill incident because in early 2005, she had told assistant coach Drew Champagne that his contract would not be renewed for the following season.
Johnson-Klein earlier in the trial had testified that Champagne allegedly had a relationship with a player that Johnson-Klein did not approve of."
