Yes. The law mandates it so I am doing my part and paying to protect you from me driving my car into yours.

No. Don't need it and the law doesn't make me buy it.
or homeowners insurance?
Nope. Again. I don't need it and the law does not force me to get it.
What you don't get is many of us do NOT live in fear. You may wish to give it a try. ;-)
