The Debate Continues
FreeRepublic ^ | 10/23/2007 | Dave Lone Ranger

There's been some complaining on the original thread about hijacking, so I'm offering a chance for you guys to continue the debate without all the distracting comments. I'd suggest not pinging anyone until the debate is finished.

Here's a rcap of the debate so far. The first argument is in brown; the reply to part one of the first argument is in green.

What makes you think there will be a next round?

You're right! I'd been waiting so long I lost track of which direction the posts were going.

You have finished one round each, and thus are most likely at an end.

Does the peanut gallery get a shot now?

Careful now Coyote, a certain light saber swinging saviour of the world might start playing the Hillary victim card again.

Now that I think of it, this thread has several similarities to a HRC staged event, in that ‘she’ attempts to manipulate as many aspects of it that she can.

Here you go, an altered Drudge headline

WOLF COYOTEMAN WARNED: NO GANGING UP ON HILLARY IN VEGAS! (Coyoteman warned to be gentle)

Is that you, Running Wolf?

If so, long time no hear. I hope you are doing well now.

Yes,

I am, or was the poster known as RunningWolf.

Obviously I like being here.

So I guess it is up to you Jim. If I shall stay, I think it should be as RunningWolf.

Regards,

Taking abandoned property and hijacking are quite different.

I feel that you have made a respectable showing overall in this debate, but that the power of evidence and reasoning still support my side.

What dimwitted bunch of fools the Thomas More lawyers were for hiring Behe as an expert witness when they could have had you and Ken Ham. Congratulations on your self proclamation.

Dave ignored the whuppin' he got from Ryan. Perhaps he was not even aware of the subtleties of Ryan's posts, and the non-sequiturs he posted in reply.

I pointed some of them out to him, but he ignored the comments I made here.

Weave and dodge! Now you see me, now you don't! Creation "science" in action. Very creative perhaps, but no science.

This scientific "debate" amounted to Dover II.

Creationism and ID have not been faring well of late in their efforts to displace real science. Same as always, eh?

I particularly liked this response by DLR: (all emphases mine)

Ryan: If you were to take two of each kind, what would you do with colonial animals like ants and termites?

DLR: This is an intriguing question, one that I haven't been asked, nor have I ever seen addressed before. The plain answer is, I don't know. I wasn't there. Some creationists speculate that in settling down for the long haul, God caused many of the animals to hibernate. Other creationists speculate that insects don't technically qualify as creatures that breathe through nostrils, and so didn't qualify as guests on the Ark. Some suggest they could have survived on large masses of debris such as plant matter. It's possible their eggs could have survived until the flood waters receded.

It seems an altogether minor point to get hung up on, since there is no clear answer. Obviously, they're still around.

Aargh! It's a minor point since "there is no clear answer."

People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones, Wiley. I’m still waiting for you to *reappear* and defend your conspiracy-to-create-a-theocracy charge against the Discovery Institute.

PS As a courtesy to the debators on this thread, when you finally decide to start dodging and weaving again, please do so on the original thread—GGG
