Yup...Bob Hedlund (fill in for today on ‘RKO) mentinoed
Ted K saying “Mike McGwire, Sammy Sooser” but he incorrectly said that Ted was talking about Kerry. Actually I believe
he was talking about Meehan and Markey...

Note: Red Sox on radio
Red Sox radio network will have WEEI 850 tonight and
for game 6. Other games will be on flagship WRKO 680.
Other Red Sox network stations, AFAIK, can carry
the games but due to MLB regulations they have to carry
the ESPN coverage, not Sox network. (Though this does
not apply in Boston area—thus WBOQ Gloucester may
not have either Sox OR ESPN coverage—not sure...)

WTIC’s site now confirms it’ll have Sox via ESPN during the WS:
“Please note that all of the affiliates on the Red Sox Radio Network must carry the ESPN Radio broadcasts. This is per Major League Baseball. Only the flagship station, WRKO in Boston, can continue to broadcast their regular season broadcast team.” http://www.wtic.com
(note: ...add “WEEI” to “WRKO”, as in tonight and in game 6)

So I guess this also means if you’re up in Burl VT you can hear the ESPN feed on both WCAT 1390
(ESPN affiliate) and WJOY 1230 (Sox network affil.)...for example!
