I will be leaving FR. I will no longer post here and likely will no longer check the news here either. I began to post here a few years ago with updates on my attempts and eventual success at founding teenage republican clubs across New Jersey and the surrounding area. I used to run a ping list about the invasion of Islam into Europe. I ran an FR-based operation to try to change public opinion about the Iraq war using letters to the editor and "stats" e-mails. It seems however that as soon as I began to indicate that I was supporting Mr. Giuliani for the Presidency all of that was instantly forgotten and I was branded many of the things I'm sure are crossing many people's minds as they read this. I'm leaving before I get kicked off for my own opinions, I'm not a left-winger who comes to attack the website, I'm a conservative that comes to share my opinions, and if this is a place where certain opinions are muted out because some disagree then good-bye. I always thought it was the Democrats who believed that if you silenced people who disagreed with you, what you were saying became true. What a fool I must be.
No one will kick you out for supporting Rudy. We have the right to say that your candidate sucks, however.
Don’t go.. I don’t know what your story is, why you feel you’re being ‘silenced’, but please stay....
Kerik and this current Regan mess won’t have enough legs to hurt Rudy in the long run. There will be other more dangerous issues coming up that will dog his viability.

I like Rudy, he is very articulate and has good charisma. He would wipe the floor w/Harpy. That said, you should know better than supporting Rudy here. He is far too socially liberal for most conservatives.

Opera, believe it or not. And while I feel much the same as the thread-starter does I'm going to try to stick around here until the fat lady sings.
Even though I am a conservative in every arena, I am considering voting for Guiliani. I really love Romney and am open to Thompson. We'll see. This is America and intelligent and respectful debate is good. I belong to a site where people tag posts that are personally attacking etc and also can forward private messages to the mods. Maybe it is time for this or a more stringent involvement of the mods as we close in to primaries. FR is a place for a variety of points of view regarding the libertarian and conservative arena as I believe I read when I joined. We need all views here. WE ARE NOT THE FACIST DEMS!

Who are you to decide who is a conservative? If Rudy is the nominee of the party, I will support him. Why won’t you? Maybe you’re holding out for Fred Flintstone from Hicksville who holds all of the same parochial views that you do, even though he hasn’t a prayer of being elected. What we are facing now is an election for an American president. To default here is to consign America to the hands of an anti-American democrat and, likely, a Stalinist, as well. Politics is compromise — think about it.
