This compass is obviously broken and worthless but with a $150,000,000 budget behind it the producers are hoping no one will notice. Another group that hopes no one will notice it is the parents of millions of American children. Catholic and protestant organizations alike are warning families that it has clear anti-Christ overtones and a message that can only drag young minds further into a media driven pool of emptiness where life is hopeless and the future is bleak.

No joke.

I don’t think we’ll see another Tolkien or Lewis in our lifetimes.

Our church has posted a warning to parents not to waste their money and their child’s mind on this anti-Christian drivel.

With that kind of budget to cover they’re going to need to whip up a really world-class controversy in order to get lots of attention and free publicity.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the studio is sending loads of cash to the Catholic League, with the understanding that they will keep it on the news for a couple of weeks at least.

"I don’t think we’ll see another Tolkien or Lewis in our lifetimes."

And our lives are diminished by their absence.

From my understanding the git who wrote the book the movie is based on hated C.S.Lewis.

It is said he wrote his Dark Material to counteract Lewis's Chronicles.

When does this thing come out? I am looking forward to watching it bomb. The word is out on this movie. I was talking it up amongst my family/friends over Thanksgiving, and pretty much everybody had heard that this movie has a hidden athiest agenda and is to be avoided.

Bit of trivia on Clive.

His death hardly got a mention in the papers, because he died on Nov. 22, 1963.

And our lives are diminished by their absence.

Well, I'll keep writing in their spirit, anyway.

The promos for this movie have been on TV quite a bit lately, and I was wondering what all the fuss was about. In fact, the movie looked interesting until I read the Wikipedia page on Northern Lights, the book that "The Golden Compass" is based on.

The whole thing sounds so sketchy, so I'm definitely skipping out in favor of waiting for the next installment in Narnia next May.

The publicity generated by these boycotts are a studios dream come true.

Bit more trivia about that- Lewis’ death was not the only one overshadowed on that day as Aldous Huxley also died on 11/22/63.

Sorry about the rather late post!
