I’d really like to say Navy doesn’t stand a chance. But sometimes I gotta face reality.
Hate mail from depressed woops gladly accepted...
GO MIDDIES!
I don’t know if you are a grad or not, but it should be noted publicly that many of us have a huge distaste for the ‘Middy/Middies’ nickname.
Forgive my ignorance....
Navy's still gonna win!
No sir, you are not lowly, and never were.
NOTHING lowly about that. Thank you for serving.
I'm a Navy brat. And I'm surrounded by a lot of Army folks. GO NAVY!!
Well said.
When was the last time ARMY had a team? Blanchard and Davis? Pete Dawkins? That’s how I remember them.
Oh Yeah! Go Navy! Beat Army!
I hope the Spirit Videos are good this year, a shame I have to miss seeing “The Game” in person this year.

I had the biggest, nakedest cadet you can imagine sleeping in my bed during the Army/Navy football game in Philly when I was in college. I came home late, late, late, after doing my Friday or Saturday night scholarly duties (ahem)and a roomate had taken in a group of guys from the Academy. It’s really disturbing to come home to a quiet dorm room, open the door, and see a naked ape, who could easily beat you to a pulp, full monty, sleeping on your bed.
I won’t take sides in the game though. Go USA and God bless the young men playing in the game.
I’ve met several young ladies in Philly who agree with your opinion that a naked Cadet is a fightening sight...
(Not to mention a few from Colorado with similar thoughts.)
;-)
I can hope, can't I?
That being said, hello to all the Brownwater Navy folks out there; the majority of which, were Army personnel.
If you read the national sports press, they say midshipmen or mids, but not middies.
Lee Greenwood sang his "God Bless the USA" during halftime. There was a giant American flag waving near the field from about 20 yard line to 20 yard line during the song. I remember when he sang it at a 2001 inaugural ball. I really like that song.
