I have been thinking about this as it came to me that very soon there would be a rather large number of FReepers that are seeing their ten year mark on FreeRepublic. I am not due for about two and a half years but hey, how many other sites have such a retention rate? FR has got to be some sort of a record setter in a lot of areas. Are there any such statistics available on the net that compare the longevity and retention of members on websites?
How about a designation FReeperX for ten years in and still posting?

Ten years and we still don't know what happened to the $60 million lost at Madison Guarantee Saving and Loan.

Remember the old WHITEWATER link on Drudge? A lot of us got our start that way. That's how I found Free Republic. I've been here since March 7, 2000. I wanted to comment earlier than that, but my only email address at that time was a hotmail account and I wasn't allowed to sign up. I've probably been lurking here since the beginning of the Monica business, whenever that was. My house has been a mess ever since.

Well congrats and a cyber high five to you!!!
I just had my eighth anniversary (and my roses are where?...LOL)
I was here earlier though, and something crashed and I had to re-register so in reality its nine years (or so) for me...(to date no bans or suspension either!)
Here is wishing you ten more!!!

Point of order....
Your name is Freepaholic. Your date is 10/11/98.
I thought the term FReeper was coined after the October 31 ‘98 March For justice.
How could you have that name prior to the great gathering on the Mall?
Our day is rapidly approaching. Time flies.
