I’ll bet Led Zepplin at 35 years past their prime are a million times better than 90 percent of what passes for music these days. They are one of the top rock bands ever. In fact, I was watching some of their vintage stuff on VH1 Classic last night and they just rocked. No fancy sets, no background dancers, no gimmicks, no stupid looking tatoos all over. Jimmy Page - that says it all.
Idrew that picture so many times as a kid, I think I can draw it from memory.
They all (with the exception of JPJ) went down to the crossroads.
According to the reporter in the linked video, there are plans now for a tour next year.

Aren’t they dead, too?
led btttt
never heard of em...but the jpg tag gives them away...
funny, the guy on the right kinda looks like a young Ozzy.
LOL..though that tune is anti-drug,drinkin’’ ect..
True ... that’s worth something.
I assign the teenagers extra chores when the babies start singing 70’s rock!

"Sound quality was SPOT- on ......"
Dazed and Confused...Rock and Roll...Good Times, Bad Times...Communication Breakdown...Heartbreaker...
But I also like the more obscure...No Quarter...Misty Mountain Hop...Bring It On Home...The Battle of Evermore...Dancing Days...The Ocean...How Many More Times...In The Light
I also like every single song on “In Through the Out Door”
I owned every album at various times. :) There wasn’t a real bad one although I never much cared for ‘Presence’, if I had to take one away that would be first to go.
For those short twelve years they were fantastic.
All that followed was just somehow hollow comparatively...Plant, Page...The Firm.
I think ‘radioactive’ was so so...other than that...nothing like Led Zep!
” And five, now this is the most important, Rat. When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV. “
Who is that?
As I posted on another LZ thread, some people remember where they were when Kennedy was shot, I remember where I was the first time I heard ‘Stairway to Heaven.’
Zeppelin’s catalog is out on iTunes - I’ve had a great time the past couple of weeks listening to songs I still know by heart. Now if I’d stop forgetting my own name...
It gets harder to get up for a show as they get older. They may have had to go on diets and vitamin B injections for a month. Not the kind of thing old retired people want to do all the time.
I thought "Stairway to Heaven" was a Neil Sedaka hit from 1960.
Yes, Sedaka did have a hit by that same name.
Speaking of which... is this Led Zeppelin reunion a case of “love will keep us together” or simply “breaking up is hard to do?”
