Man convicted in jail beating death over Honey Bun

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - A man accused of killing his Kent County Jail cellmate because he suspected the man of stealing his snack cake has been convicted of murder.

Prosecutors say he dragged Estrada from the top bunk of his bed after discovering his Honey Bun snack cake was missing.

So did he eat the dang snack cake or not?...why would they leave you hanging like that? Pizz poor journalism if you ask me...they (honey bunns) are pretty good though.

Yes a honey bun. I worked in a prison for years and honey buns pastries were like serious currency. Yes there would be violence and blood shed over honey buns.

LOL!!! My husband went to bed about half an hour ago—he has to get up around 3:00. It was too good not to wake him up for. He is the Honey Bun man. He takes them, puts them on a plate, smears some butter on them and nukes them for 15 seconds. Then..........he’s in heaven! He will fight you for his Honey Buns! LOL!

I’m a devoted devote’ (?) of Honey Buns. I consider them one of the major food groups … however … to kill over them is something … let me think about this for a moment … yes, I would kill anyone stepping near my “Honey Buns” … Auggg.

I'm guessing it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure out if there are 2 people locked up in a cell, and someone eats your Honey Bun, and it wasn't you, not a whole lot of other options are available. It's elementary my dear Watson.
