I do not know if you are aware that air purifiers don’t really “purify” the air in your home all that well?

Tests have revealed that even the most pricey models only have an efficacy running about 5 to 10% of the pollution in your home.In addition each unit can only cover about 200Cft

Therefore you would need about 5-6units each costing $200-$400 to provide the area coverage you estimate that you need.(Remember A/C is a 3D bidness,so we always calculate by volume.)

Factor in that, each unit requires that you replace the main and pre filter monthly which runs about $30 per unit.

If you have a central air system or a blown air furnace then it may behoove you to have a cheaper and more effective whole house electronic air cleaner installed. All the major A/C companies feature them in their inventories and manufacturers like Honeywell make some excellent after OEM sales units.

They are priced from $200 to $800.s and feature a multi-stage air cleaning system with two germ reducing technologies to help reduce harmful indoor airborne particles in your room.

Initally your polluted indoor air is drawn into the air purifier from your return duct. It first moves air through dual UV lamps to help reduce airborne germs, such as bacteria, virus and fungus as well as mold spores from the air passing across them.

Then it then passes through a pre-charging ionization plate, a pre-filter and the main filter which all help capture airborne particles such as dust, smoke, pollen, and cat dander. Any remaining bacteria and virus are also captured in the many flutes of the permanent washable filter giving you a second level of protection.

That metallic smell that fills the air on those ionic...or early models would give me a painful headache in the temple area.

Have they improved those...or are they still like that?
