The Seattle Times had a chart of the candidates positions on various topics. See if you can name the candidate who said this about immigration.
candidate #1 - supports path to citizenship and increased border patrols. Opposes driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants.
Candidate #2 Double size of Border Patrol. Crack down on employers. Allow citizenship if illegal immigrants avoid criminal record, pay fine and learn English.
Candidate # 3 Backs fence. Crackdown on employers. Has favored legal status for immigrants who pay fines and don’t receive priority when applying. Supported state services for illegals.

A cross between Clinton and Carter "without the smarts?!"
That's like saying a city is like a cross between Ohama and Cleveland, "without the glamour."

All Hill just has to do is turn out her base. She does that all the while airing ads reminding Republicans that Joe Isuzu Romney ain’t Conservative and it’s all over.
Look on the bright side, Romney might carry Nebraska. ;-)
Passing the buck is a Joe Isuzu Romney hallmark.
Better educate yourself on who gave the order to implement gay marriage in MA:

I really don't care what they say. I believe they all say what they believe the people in front of them at the moment want to hear. So, offhand, I'd say that they've all said all three things at one time or another. Not sure why I landed your reply. BTW, what are the answers?
Hillary, Edwards, Huckabee. Not much difference, but Edwards’ answer was actually slightly better than Huckabee’s
We can afford to lose IA. We will win in NH and depend on Fred’s endorsement.
Weekly Standard just did an article posted around here somewhere that shows how the MSM has been inflating Huckabee's polling numbers.
Yeah, that was part of the joke.
Clinton was smart politically (sometimes indistiguisable from a good liar) though, and Carter was a smart campaign strategist.
Huckabee is slick and pious. Clinton/Carter without the....
Affordability maybe his undoing...
I wouldn’t use the pejorative word “game” in describing preaching, as I truly respect and admire most preachers, especially those who I hear every Sunday in church.
However, it’s obvious to most thinking people that the GOP will be detrimentally tarred and feathered with the unyielding ‘theocracy’ label IF Huckabee becomes the GOP nominee for Prez.
There is something unsettling about having a full-blown preacher as the Presidential candidate. And I was raised a proud Baptist, and go to church each and every Sunday to this day.
Huckabee would make people feel alienated and unaccepted. No, it would not necessarily be Huckabee’s intention to make people feel that way, but that’s the way they would feel, I am positive.
Huckabee would cause a 10% drop in Republican votes.
And they would either flock to the Democratic party, or stay at home on election day ‘08.
I would rather see Rudy as the GOP candidate, and I’ve repeatedly said I would not vote for Rudy, no way, no how.
“No, it would not necessarily be Huckabees intention to make people feel that way, but thats the way they would feel, I am positive.”
I am pretty sure that he would want to alienate a lot of people. :P
It is probably a joke he is even in the race. You are right; he would not win. However, if he did win our nation would become a laughing stock just on the basis of him having previously worked for a televangelist.
I am against gay marriage and abortion but those issues are by no means important enough to me to want to support this fellow.
actually while i am ruminating: Gay marriage and abortion should not even be issues. The only issues should be keeping the economy thriving and keeping al qaeda out of our backyards. But alas we have all these frivolous dopey things the candidates have to blather about
I served on the ‘W’ election effort with a couple of lefties that had fled their former camp. It was, indeed, a critical shift for many of them. This time, a great many conservatives are going to vote, or not, for reasons other than being commanded to by ‘R’ leadership.
IMO, unless the Party comes to it’s senses and chooses a genuine (or, at least, a seviceable simile) conservative, the krintons will retake the WH.
Well, Mitt would probably carry Utah. I just don’t see his geographic appeal in the general election.
Yeah, Nebraska and Utah. A real landslide. ;-)
I was thinking that Mitt had NH in the bag, but there’s a thread going on now about an MSNBC poll showing McCain ahead of Romney in NH 31% to 26%. If Mitt doesn’t come up with a win in Iowa or NH it could be all over for him.
Hopefully Bye Bye Mitt, Mike, John, Ron, etc
