If Huck wins, it will validate all the worst stereotypes of the Republican party in the eyes of those who fear a theocracy in the White House.

What a ridiculous assertion. Did he operate Arkansas as a theocracy?

America is in absolutely no danger of having too much Christianity though we hear this kind of nonsense all the time.

The real threat of Christianity is its embrace of the mirror. NOBODY WANTS TO EXAMINE HIMSELF CLOSELY.

It's funny how religious faith is OK in a candidate as long as he doesn't let it affect his daily life.

If a man's faith doesn't affect his daily life, where is it supposed to affect him?

It’s kind of a problem if his ‘faith’ makes him someone who does not or will not understand that we have enemies, pardons violent criminals who will hurt others again and embrace socialism and illegal immigration.

That is the problem with Huck, like a snake oil salesman,is nasty, snide and covering it in Christianity which works when one is not looking too closely.

It seems I learned in Sunday school or somewhere how wrong it is to call someone a liar. I am offended by Huck’s calling Mitt a liar, by his denying there was a cross...maybe not technically but everyone else seemed to see it, the stories of him getting even with people who disagree with him instead of having the ability to work with people, his flip flops on all except his prolife and progun stances. He wiggles just like ALL politicians do.

I like W has been a good leader who is Christian, though chunks of the left think it’s bad. W has turned the cheek at least daily to those that say nasty things about him. Huck is not of the same cloth....
I can see Huck out with his “did you stop beating your wife” way of speaking to those same people.

I don’t think Huck will come close to being the nominee. If he is I will vote democrat.

I have and I've examined Huckabee by the same standard.

  1. He is on record as accusing those who don't want to funnel taxpayer funded freebies to illegal aliens as being Unchristian.

  2. He is on record for pardoning people who "found Jesus" only to allow them to kill again.

  3. He is also on record for siding with the PC brand of the Baptist Church, the near twin of the PC approved secular church on all but some social issues against the patriotic brand of the Baptist Church to which Duncan Hunter and most mainstream Baptists adhere.

He's a wolf in sheep's clothing. I'd much rather see an imperfect Republican like Rudy, Mitt or even McCain be the standard bearer in 2008 because they would at least not drag down as many Republicans in Senate and Congressional races.

Just wondering....why would a man who felt he was called by God to be a Minister of the Word, leave it and chose politics instead ?
