I just finished watching that too. Tech was just not on their game tonight.

Yeah, they never really had it together from the beginning.

LOL! I have no response to that, so I'll just go to bed. ;-) Good night!

Huh...fascinating. It’d be interesting to hear what sort of melody he had in mind for some of the hobbit songs.

I’m sure a great deal of what has been made of his books would horrify him. ;-)

*sigh* It’s all your fault.

I decided to start doing a little looking into convection ovens tonight (I did get that bonus, after all...), and ended up in full-bore obsessive-compulsive research mode. I hate it when I do that. Especially as I usually end up even more confused than I was to begin with. There are combo units, convection oven only units, some “convection” ovens that are really just toaster ovens...etc. And of course most folks only review things they either really hate or really like, so it’s hard to get a balanced view of anything.

The internet makes life more difficult sometimes. I think it’s better sometimes to just impulse buy. :-\

But I sure like the idea of being able to bake pizza and bread and cookies...and maybe make roasts or roast small fowl or such like...

Well...that wasn’t really what I meant. I think he was a bit of a Luddite, that’s all, and might not have cared for movies being made, period, no matter how good.

The movies aren’t really Hollywood, in any case. Hollywood would like to claim ‘em now that they’ve been so successful, but...

Good evening!

Nice new thread!

Nursing supervisor tried to pull a stunt with me tonight. I became amazingly obstinate. For the first time I didn’t think “I’m gonna quit.” This time I thought “That’s not going to happen so you might as well fire me.”.

Heh heh!

See, I like the job. I don’t want to quit. But I’m not going to let them jerk me around just because I’m new.

They shouldn’t try to give me patients, then take them away and give me a new set in the middle of the shift. That’s happened to me before and that just don’t fly. There were nurses coming on could take that other set of patients and they needed to leave me alone with the ones I had.

I said so. And she didn’t mention it again. She left me alone and I did my job well. It dawned on me that there is no way they’re going to fire me. I’m a dream nurse...I “want” to come in for four hour shifts to fill in till another nurse comes on...I’ll do it every day if they need me.

The tide has turned.

Well Hitlery came in third, so she is badly injured, and the commie Edwards, who can’t win anywhere other than Iowa, is likely done. So it will be crippled Hitlery fighting young prince Obama till the convention.

I figure the top 4 from Iowa, plus Giulani, all have good chances to pick up delegates, ending up with a brokered convention.

Verry Intterrrestting!!

a brokered convention.

That will be interesting! I haven't had enough emotional energy to invest in the primaries much. But I did pay sufficient attention to last nites' looniness to come to a similar conclusion.
