Brothers injured by tiger will not face charges, investigator
Investigation found no evidence that tiger had been taunted by the brothers
From CNN's Dan Simon
SAN FRANCISCO, California (CNN) -- Two brothers injured in a Christmas Day tiger attack at the San Francisco Zoo will not face charges, the lead investigator in the case told CNN Monday.
San Francisco Police Inspector Valerie Matthews said the investigation had found no evidence that Paul and Kulbir Dhaliwal taunted a 300-pound tiger that apparently scaled a 12½ foot wall surrounding its enclosure.
The tiger attacked and killed 17-year-old Carlos Sousa and injured the Dhaliwals.
Matthews also said the Dhaliwals were cooperative with investigators.

The story that never will be told.
First they told us the brothers “dangled a leg over the edge.”
They said the wall was 19 feet high.
Then they said the victims “put something in the moat” for the tiger to get out.
Then they said the brothers were uncooperative.
Then they said there was a shoe in the moat.
Then they said the boys had slingshots.
Now we know that everyone of these statements from zoo officials (or unnamed city officials) is untrue.
And their cell phones....any pics...?
(shaking head, sighing deeply...)
And maybe city officials could surrender all email regarding wall height, safety regs, etc.
Keep in mind this is San Francisco.
Last year they were Police Cheif Howard and Police Inspector Victor.
Seriously, one report stated that both brothers tested positive for marijuana and being legally drunk.
If true (which who knows if this “fact” is even true), why wouldn’t the city arrest them for drunk and disorderly, MOP, providing alcohol to a minor, etc.
I’ve seen Heather....you may be right
The wall is 16 feet high, on the tiger’s (moat) side. Not on the viewers’ side.
Geragos said the public relations team hired by the zoo has continued to pursue a strategy of blaming the victims. Geragos said he is planning to file a defamation lawsuit.
"In an attempt to distract attention from its failure to ensure the safety of its patrons, a so-called crisis management team hired by the zoo has made repeated media attacks on the Dhaliwal brothers," wrote Geragos. "On a daily basis these agents of the zoo have made numerous false statements which constitute actionable defamation."

Among the examples of false information disseminated to the media were a reference to slingshots being found in the victims' car, and a report that the young men had been drinking in an establishment near the zoo. Both later proved false.

Two different things are being said.
Gregaros is a slime ball and anything that this defense attorney says has to be taken not with a pinch of salt, but a ton of salt.
Great photo, thanks!
The City of San Francisco just hired a slimeball of their own. Sam Singer is a democrat operative hired by democrats and labor unions.
What is important here is what the police are now saying, versus what city officials have said for two weeks.
The brothers were “cooperative.”
Not true. THe “report” alleged that attendants on ambulance overheard the men conspiring.
Has trig changed or something?
well there’s your problem, the tiger used a ladder
But the lead investigator claims that the brothers were cooperative.
How could the paramedics know if the brothers ended up cooperating with the police or not?
I think the lead investigator would know if the brothers cooperated. What incentive would she have to lie?
