He was very good in 'The Client' years ago. It's a shame.

Hollywood does seem to leave a long trail of tragedy in the way of young people dying way too soon. Though this was not as shocking to me as the Jonathan Brandis suicide a few years ago, who I had always thought was fairly well grounded. Very sad.

this is heartbreaking. Very, very talented. After wowing many (a kid that had no real acting experience) in “The Client,” he could have had it all. Recently he was in a great movie that went straight to video called “10th and Wolf” (rent it, you won’t be sorry) with the awesome Giovanni Ribisi and under-rated James Marsden.

He was good in Sleepers and it was a good movie. He played Brad Pitt's younger character; Michael (Mikey) Sullivan.

I liked him in The Client too.

He was too young to die.

All those young actors were good in Sleepers.

Lorenzo "Shakes" Carcaterra's claims the story is true.

Scroll down to Fact or Fiction.

Is “troubled” newspeak for “drug addled loser”?

All that "troubled" entails. My son knew him. You know the old saying, "You can take the boy out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the boy?" Single-parent home. Lived in the rough parts of town until Hollywood came knocking. I believe it was a policeman who helped him get the part in The Client, actually. Or a truant officer; or something like that. My heart goes out to his mom.

It is a shame.

However, I grew up on the wrong side of town, had a pretty much absent father for most of the time, a wholly incapable mother, and lots VERY bad influences. I knew many weak-willed people who failed, but there are many who go through those conditions and yet through hard work and self-discipline, make it in the world.

The point: Those conditions are an excuse not a reasoned explanation.

Nothing in my reply (please re-read) condoned his choices or lifestyle. My son had a similiar background. He now holds a Masters in Accountancy, and holds a “high-up position” {he’s a big dog :)}in a national company. I just simply filled in a little background of Renfro’s.

I did not mean to imply anything about what you said. Merely, that this dipstick had his chance and blew it.

I’d turn to drugs, too, if my name was constantly being linked to Susan Saranwrap.
