mcLame is Hillary in drag. McLame wins the nomination i am sitting this one out. I promised myself that I would never ever support McLame for anything. My reason: He sold out the conservative movement over and over again!

Yes, I heard about the possible Clinton/Obama ticket...just this past week. Hillary’s no dummy.

And I agree, I’ll take ANY republican candidate over Hillary...and I still don’t feel like I’d be selling out.

I just like something in all the Repub candidates, well, ok maybe not so much McCain-—uh, let me think, well, alright, the surge is working.

It would be nice if all the good qualities in the candidates could be rolled up into one candidate.

Hey, I can still dream, you know! :o)

I’m thinking, whether I like it or not, that John McCain just MAY wind up being the Republican nominee!

There are 2 potential major outcomes of this election that will destroy conservatism in this country forever:

1. The continued toleration, if not complete embrace, of illegal immigration, resulting in millions of additional Democrat voters.

2. The appointment of at least 2, maybe 3 Supreme Court justices to replace Stevens and Ginsberg, and possibly Scalia.

If Hillary, Obama or McCain are elected President, conservate movement is doomed.

We Romney supporters would welcome any and all who come to the party. It's not easy selling Mitt as a Conservative for the simple fact that he hails from the most liberal State in the union, and this is where most of his detractors find ammunition against him, largely provided by the most liberal newspaper on the planet called the Boston Globe.

The Globe hates Romney for good reason. he changed the dynamics in Massachusetts to the dismay of the liberal establishment and made them all look silly.

Sure, you can find a few quotes from the campaign against Teddy Kennedy, but it must be understood that the environment in Massachusetts does not make it easy for a conservative to thrive. In fact, just the opposite.

Romney is indeed a traditional conservative. He has proved this time and time again with his actions and most of his rhetoric. He has the energy and drive to be great president, and if you plus that up with his acumen for organization and management, it makes him a very strong candidate.

Social conservatives are not all in opposition to him, and those who are may be doing so for the wrong reasoning, but it is possible to get the majority of them on his side by the time of the general election, so he can unite the party. He can be the nominee.

And he can beat Billary or Obama in a head to head, if he gets that needed support from the rest of the factions. Assuming of course, that Bloomberg and his money stay out of the Independent candidacy. He will stay out if McCain crashes. Those votes will largely go to Mitt.

A vote for McCLoon or Tooty Fruity Rooty....you get Hitlery. Even if McLame or Rudy were elected, you get the Clinton agenda without voting for it.

So then a better solution would be to have a write in candidate, who....? Bloomberg?

Having McCain or Rudy in the White House is the same as Hillary. All three have Dem philosophy down pat ... only one runs under Dem banner.

One term for hillary is too long. Just think of all the judges supreme and others, that she will appoint. Every Republican that President Bush has appointed will be fired on her first day. She probably is compiling a list right now.

Some people are talking about the possibility of a brokered convention.

I believe if it happens, McCain will be the GOP nominee.

He is no better than Hillary, or MSM would bury him, instead of cheering him on and overexposing him.

They buried Hunter-look for them to try to take Fred down next.

bloomberg has an R behind his name and he is no more a conservative than mcvain. i WILL NOT vote for mcvain or huckabubba. i, too, would rather have a D than these two who have an R but are more democrat than republican.

Depends on how much damage they do to each other. If surrogates of Clinton continue to insinuate that Obama was a drug dealer they can hardly put him on the ticket. There is also the unknown about whether they can stand each other. Hillary defintely won't want somebody that will overshadow her.

My guess would be a popular moderate Democratic governor from the part of the country Clinton feels weakest in. Maybe from a southern state. It would be a man, popular in his state, considered a moderate, not from the northeast.

Gosh, no way! Do I “hear” some of you correctly? You’d rather have a Dem in the White House? That’s a huge chance Repubs would be taking!

Come on, now, you’re honestly saying there is NO common ground for Republicans to stand behind?

I’m a Repub, but I’ll never be a pouting one!!!!

As much as I prefer Rudy Giuliani for President, I just can't fathom voting against McCain and giving the White House to Hillary.

Why is a liberal with an "R" after their name okay, but not a liberal with a "D" after their name?

It's RINOs like YOU that are the problem with the GOP today. As soon as it looks like your favorite liberal is losing, you turn to the next most liberal candidate.

How did you manage to avoid the Bug Zapper?
