To be truthful Greg F, Huck could have been a serious contender since we have all liberals running. I don’t know who was running his campaign, but he came out wrong.
It was a mistake to marginalize himself with the use of religion. It wasn’t necessary when Huck is gifted with gab.
It can be known he is a Christian, same as GWB, but he should not have used it. It marginalized him. The Religious battle going on has hurt him. Remember, many Mormans have voted for Christians, including their vote for GWB.
Hucks shilling for mcCain hasn’t done him any favors. When asked about the blatant lie McCain was peddling about Romney being for set dates for withdrawal from Iraq, Huck should have said, I am not aware of the exact comment, so i will leave that between McCain and Romney, would have kicked ass.
This all tells me Huck, wonderful speaker that he is, isn’t ready for primetime.
Here are the Senators who voted against the Cornyn amendment , which would have established a permanent bar for gang members, terrorists, and other criminals looking to snag a shamnesty visa. Republicans underlined:
Never forget McCain not only pushed the amnesty bill, he refused to allow exclusions for the worst of the lot. And he unloaded his infamous temper on his mild-mannered senate colleague for having the audacity to introduce this amendment.
While I regret some of you may be annoyed by what you feel is spamming this message on campaign threads, it is an important message on a key vote which needs to get out. Therefore, I've got to go with the overwhelming majority who is supportive.
I never got past “Mike Huck : the only Value-oriented Conservative.”
That statement is patently false. Not because he isn’t the only Conservative, but because he isn’t a Conservative at all.
Huck definitely let himself get put into a box by the media and his opponents on the religious issue. In Iowa it led to victory since he locked into a group everyone else was ignoring . . . but he needed to shift gears immediately and give a red meat conservative type speech aiming at S. Carolina when he had the attention of the nation and to skip New Hampshire except for a token run. I don’t think Pinkerton was on the team then or he might have got better advice about it. Water under the bridge. Personally, I think Huck and McCain were right to call Romney on his secret date for leaving Iraq. It’s a bad idea — McCain’s view that we should have essentially permanent bases there makes a lot more sense.
Oh, and Ed Rollins is running Huck’s campaign. ‘84 Reagan reelection and Perot’s campaign were Rollins big races.
What’s a “comparative TV emission?”
That statement is patently false. Not because he isnt the only Conservative, but because he isnt a Conservative at all.

When the choices are Romney, McCain and Huckabee the idea of conservatism becomes a relative thing.
The truth is, Romney didn’t say that, do you get it? He said “secret”, keyword here. I am sure Bush even has secret dates for certain benchmarks.
Poor argument, bad choice for Huck. He must have a really big dope for a campaign manager. By tagging himself to a lie McCain is hawking, it just makes him look bad, unless all he wanted was a job from McCain. Hell, Huck is better than McCain. He ruined any chance he had with that one.
Anyway, truth is, we are probably going to lose this race. Question is, will the damage done be permanent? probably.
Reagan was better than Rollins so he didn’t mean much to whether Reagan was re elected, it was a landslide. Perot. well you know the outcome of that.
Bubba.

I’m not as sure of the loss. I’m a glass-half-full type of guy. Clinton has huge negatives. The race/sex battle in the Democratic party is a situtation where the chickens are coming home to roost for the Dems and they will have some alienated voters from it. We can win.
You mean Ed Rollins the guy who gave out money to black preachers in NJ to get out the vote for Christie Todd Whitman?
Yep, values in action.
Well, I appreciate your optimism. As you can see, I am reasonable. But we all have to admit the many flaws in this race.
We aren’t going to get what we want this time. They just aren’t the right candidates to keep the stool propped up.
Values? Who in the hell are you kidding?...
Get a grip, most Americans are not that stupid, not yet!”
It’s obviously less about “hell”, and more about .. “paradise” !
=> “Most Americans” were CLEVER and inspired enough to get brillantly re-elected US President GWBush on Novembe 2004, thanks to a surprise last-minute move of more than 3 Million of People mainly motivated by “Values”.
(See supra).
“82 Airborne 1/508th BN “fury from the sky”) “
Need an Helicopter ? Or an Airplane ? Or a Space-Shuttle ?
We’re in the 21st Century, you know..
True Believers don’t need damn used flat “tires” : Spirit comes “from the Sky”, really “Airborne”, as you say...
=> VALUES is the Engine which makes Mike Huckabee’s US Presidential campain run and reach Top, even without Money, (contrary to Obama - Clinton and others’ multi-millionaire waste !)
>>> Because he succeeds to attract and stimulate People’s Energy : That’s the real Miracle !
Just imagine how many Tax-payers’ money might be spared in the Future, if this Mike Huckabee’s recipe, which works until now fine during the Electoral campain, finds also a logic follow-up at some US policies..

I forgot he won the Whitman race also. Yah, and if you don’t think there is walking around money in every major race in every major urban area of the country . . . you haven’t worked on many urban campaigns.
They just arent the right candidates to keep the stool propped up.

Which is why, in my pollyanish optimism, I want a brokered convention and the long shot, hail mary, give us a conservative that can unite the party pass.
Dilute! Dilute! OK!
Gee, but it’s still illegal.
The ends don’t justify the means, especially if you call yourself an honest man.
It must be the latter; Huck's campaign is pretty well broke.
