As a general rule, you should be very hesitant to give your business to any company that advertises on talk radio. There are scams galore out there, and all those talk radio hosts that we love and respect are willing to sell their souls to the highest bidder when it comes to advertising.

Do you remember those ads for Cortislim? Bill O'Reilly and Laura Ingraham were plugging it all the time—it was the weight loss pill for "thinking people" (yeah, right). It was also completely bogus.

One of my favorite talk show hosts is constantly doing pitches for "NatureBee", a worthless snake-oil pill that supposedly gives you endless energy, makes you healthier, improves mental acuity, and all that typical snake-oil nonsense. It's very disappointing.

Is that Liddy? Oh, what the hell was he peddling like a mad man a while back? Whatever it was, it blew my fricking mind. It was an over the counter cure all, making the kind of claims that you see being ridiculed in textbooks from the traveling salesman of the 1800s. The idea that a man of his stature and learning would stoop so low left me speechless.
