Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has been rocked by another bombshell as he recovers from his shock marriage split - he has been romantically linked to his teenage daughter Brooke's former assistant.
(Advertisement) A new U.S. tabloid report claims Hogan had an affair with 33year-old Christiane Plante, while he was married to now-estranged wife Linda.
The National Enquirer claims the wrestling great started romancing Plante 12 months before his 24-year marriage fell apart in 2007.
Plante tells the publication, "I will never be able to fully forgive myself for this. I have lost an amazing friend." Hogan, who is hoping for a reconciliation with his wife, stating, "It's a tough time but we're all staying strong," says, "I have no comment. I haven't seen the story."

What a hypocrite! On his show, he monitors his teen children constantly, then does something like this!
Don’t expect him at any more Obama rallies.

I always heard that steroid abuse shrank the family jewels.
Hard to have an affair in that case!

I heard Hulk is following Brock Lesnar into full contact MMA to win back his family honor. Actually I didn’t hear that but it would make a great PPV.

Can we restrict this type of trash to National Enquirer or the E-Channel. I get enough of this garbage as I go through the checkout line at the super market. I thought Free Republic was for more serious stuff.

National Enquirer doesn’t do Bat boy with Elvis on the moon stories. They do “Jesse Jackson’s love child”, “Rush Limbaugh on pain meds”, and “Carol Burnett wild and drunk at party” oops, had to retract that one! Carol Burnett doesn’t drink. Johnny Carson was going to sue over the “Carson plans divorce” story, but decided to just get divorced instead. All things said National Enquirer is fairly reliable, and is the unacknowledged predecessor of the more glossy and puff piece “People” and such.
But yes Free Republic is for news (and gossip). I tuned in because I was a little Hulkster back in the day. Actually more of a Lou Farrigno Hulk fan, but liked Hulk Hogan in the 80’s. What can one say? Love stinks.

Okay I will admit that some lighthearted, fun stuff, gossip, etc. is not going to ruin this site. I just worry about it proliferating. If too much of this nonsense is posted, the whole culture of the site can be affected. You know there is an unlimited number of sites to go to look at this stuff. I do not want this site to become a joke like some of the other sites I have seen.
