It’s a Chipping Sparrow. There are several very similar sparrows, you have to look for details.

Thanks! The birdhose with the toad and scary friend was too funny!

I’ve never seen such a beautiful picture of the lady cardinal.
Of course, I’ve never seen one up close like that.

She’s much prettier than I thought, even prettier than the male.

Not exactly in my backyard but in my kitchen about 20 years ago.

Rocky" fell out of his nest in downtown KC when he wasn't able to fly yet and injured his wing. My husband ended up bringing him home and building him a cage.

When we let him out he stayed around our house and if I left the back door open he would come in and perch on the door to the utility room and watch us. He liked being around us and would perch on my shoulder.

This particular evening he decided he would like some popcorn. Needless to say he was the only one to eat any.

OH jez...The Ringling Museum, as mentioned earlier Selby Gardens,
St. Armands Circle, Lido Beach, Siesta Key.

Just south a few miles is Venice. I can mention many things in the Sarasota area,
but what you might find interesting may differ from mine...
