Maybe it will be that way in another month here in Michigan.

Gorgeous pictures, right down to the feathers.

We have a lot of goldfinches and hummers in the summer in this forsaken climate. I feed them like crazy, change the sugar water daily and fill the tube feeder for my goldies.

I’m sick and tired, however, of window strikes. I’ve made my own cut outs of black crows and taped them all over our deck windows/sliders. It cut down on the window strikes, but is there anything else I can do?

Those birds are incredible! Spring is springing. I took this one in my yard earlier today... Click to zoom.

Typical spring day in Texas. Mowed grass, set out tomato plants, built deck to my ebay shed and enjoyed a beautiful sunny and warm weekend.

Not exactly in my backyard but in my kitchen about 20 years ago.

Rocky" fell out of his nest in downtown KC when he wasn't able to fly yet and injured his wing. My husband ended up bringing him home and building him a cage.

When we let him out he stayed around our house and if I left the back door open he would come in and perch on the door to the utility room and watch us. He liked being around us and would perch on my shoulder.

This particular evening he decided he would like some popcorn. Needless to say he was the only one to eat any.
