I was BANNED from the Democratic Underground (DU) today.
I was banned for posting the following thread:
Subject: WOW!!! Sen. Obama is playing us like a fiddle!
Text: Sen. Obama's team set up this whole Race debacle from the get go, just so that he would have the stage set for this absolutely stirring speech on race relations. I have never seen the race card played so brilliantly in all the history of American politics. BRILLIANT!!!!
If the media gives this speech as much play as the racist Rev. Wright issue, and they will...he will find the new momentum he needs to secure the popular vote in the dem primary, no doubt. This man may even be our next POTUS, judging by the brilliant political savvy his team is displaying and his heaping helping of charisma, he is looking very very good!
Can any of you see this backfiring? I simply can not.

After being referred to as a "troll freeper," I wanted to join this forum as a liberal and see what it is you folks are all about. So, here I am, letting you conservatives know that there are liberals being banned by the [expletive deleted] from Liberal forums because we do NOT agree with the path Sen. Obama et al. have chosen. I am not the only one that has been banned for speaking out against these race card tactics.
Many of us are disgusted.
I'm sure it will not be long before I'm banned here too, but I will play by your rules until then.

I always like to ask folks of your ilk a simple philosophical question. By what right does one man (or men) pilfer money from an individual (a representation of his life) at the point of a gun and redistribute that money to others. Please answer without using the phrase “common good” or “common welfare”.

I posted my opinion in the “Primaries” topic where it is acceptable to debate and forcefully support an opinion on any candidate running for Democratic support.
I broke no rules.
The moderator decided to side with Sen. Obama supporters and assume that I am some kind of conservative operative attempting to divide and conquer.
Laughable. It does however sadden me that DU is apparently run by idiots.

Experience with the political machine in D.C. That is the difference between Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama. There are some other minor differences, but the major difference between the two boils down to experience, pragmatism, and a near centrist ability to compromise in order to make things happen.
Between the two candidates, I would say that Sen. Clinton will be a much more difficult challenge for conservatives to keep from the White House.
You folks will have no problem defeating Sen. Obama come General Election time.

DU thought you were a troll freeper ... but it would appear that you are actually a FReeper troll. Hit-n-run posting is a sure sign of a troll and that is exactly what you've done up to this point. Jump back in and answer some of the comments you've attracted to dispell that notion.
I have no say whatsoever about whether or not you get to stick around FR, but it is a little disturbing to me that we might actually want the rejects from DU. The ones they keep around are bad enough. BTW, how long were you a member in good standing at DU?

Post often so we get to know you. We don't mind self-described liberals. We just want honest discussion with out bashing and profanity.
When the next political issue comes up in the news, find the FR thread for it and then find the DU thread (you can still read the posts even after you are banned -- ask me how I know.)
Compare these threads and look for evidence of intelligent discussion, clear-minded reasoning, factual premises, etc. I am not saying you won't ever find that on a DU thread, but I guarantee you will find it more often here on FR.
Then think about how much you learned from each thread and which thread caused you to think more deeply.
You will soon realize you learn more here and you will come to respect the company of FReepers.

My husband, who is the same age, and white, figures we must be owed reparations or something.
He only earned .90c and hour in’66.

You’ve lasted 12 days here.
Heck, in 1966, I was working on our farm and didn’t work for pay. We did have a roof over our heads, beds to sleep in and something to eat. That was just daily life for farm kids.
