Heck, in 1966, I was working on our farm and didn’t work for pay. We did have a roof over our heads, beds to sleep in and something to eat. That was just daily life for farm kids.

Now how do you expect to play the victim saying things like that?

I myself was paid 'slave wages' in '73, at the tender age of 12, working my families snack bar 8 hours for $2.00 a day.

Someone must owe me something for my hardships. ;-)

By 73, my parents had kicked me (and both sisters) out of the house and we were on our own. I was already in the military by then and had a decent paying job. I paid for my apartment, cars, food and everything else.

I did go back to the farm every free weekend and work for free, fixing fences, plowing the fields, hauling hay, etc. My only pay was getting to fish in the stock tanks.
