Look up big G. I mean what Mr. Dirac had to say about it. The laws of physics ARE only models. Reality is reality. Basic "constants" can change -- as we learn more. We make many gross assumptions about the constants applied over space and time.

Oh, and the reality is the world is flat, too. The assumption of local flatness -- over the area a man may walk in a day, is an accurate one.
