"American Idol" contestant David Cook was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after experiencing heart palpitations throughout the day, TMZ reported.
FOX declined to comment on the Cook story, the "American Idol" publicity team told FOXNews.com.
Show medics said Cook's blood pressure was "far too high" and urged the aspiring "Idol" to seek treatment, but he did not want to leave until the show concluded, the Web site said.
Doctors gave Cook medicine to bring down his blood pressure and released him after a few hours, TMZ said. He was taken to the "Idol" apartments and was "doing fine," People magazine reported.

His voice is improving each week. I wasn't too impressed with him from the beginning, but you can really hear that he's being coached properly and is taking his lessons very seriously.
IMHO, he's about the only one in this group who will see the kind of success that the likes of Carrie Underwood or Daughtry has achieved. David A has a great voice, but it won't translate into massive hits on the charts.

While you could be right about David Archuleta not translating into massive chart ratings, he’s this year’s Jordan Sparks. Another one who might not translate well onto the pop charts.
America likes the fresh-faced, big-voiced singers for their Idols.
Still, in some fashion, the talented, those that can drive a song up the charts, STILL succeed.
David Cook could be another Daughtry. But David Archuleta’s going to win the thing.
Below, some of my Blog posts on this year’s American Idol.

I too am glad DC won. DA is an amazing talent, but DC simply CHANGED American Idol, perhaps for good.
Btw, it was not nearly the upset that everyone thought. DC was "tracking" really well on the internet, and most internet predictors had DC winning, including www.DialIdol.com, which predicted the margine of victory.

He seems like a good guy. Didn’t get a chance to watch much beyond the initial 24. My son is a HUGE Mariah fan & he liked the way DC did his song on Mariah night. Between the two I think he was the right choice. Hope he will be OK as well as Luke Menard from earlier this season. Best wishes & prayers for both.

LOL, I have a guilty secret, this was the first time I ever voted for any such thing. And I voted many times, more that I want to admit to, thats for sure. I am glad he won too. I feel a little bad for DA, he surely has a sweet voice, and is a great kid, even _if_ his dad is a bit of a jerk.
