The central problem of many modern "Christians" is that they understand so little of it.
I believe the Bible to be completely true in all respects, but one should not take everything in it literally. There are lots of different styles of writing contained within the Bible and not all of it is intended to be taken literally. The is not reputable Bible scholar that believes in a literal interpretation of the Bible.
