There are also a number of “banned” cartoons on youtube. Bugs fighting the japs and so forth. It’s very entertaining, not because of the subject...just that they were allowed to broadcast it.

Awesome thread!

I grew up on this stuff (reruns, obviously) thru the early '60s. Here in Philadelphia there was a show called "Pete's Gang" with host Pete Boyle, and he would show several "Our Gang/Little Rascals" shorts. I must have seen every one ten times - - though not for about 40+ years.

(BTW yes - - this Philadelphia personality, Pete Boyle, who passed away in 1967, was the father of the late, great, 'Everybody Loves Raymond' actor, Peter Boyle.)
