I saw that the other night. It's extremely powerful until the last frame, which says "Vote Your Conscience". That's been the problem with many Catholics, though, because they confuse what should be a conscience formed through the teachings of Jesus, with their feelings on any given issue. That's how they justify a vote for Obama, or any national level Democrat, for that matter. They claim that since the Democrats are better than the Republicans on all the OTHER Social Justice issues, besides abortion, that those issues outweigh the single issue. They either don't understand, or are not paying attention to the Church's teaching that LIFE is the MOST important issue, and all others come after.

Many Catholics have distorted the Pope's message that the only way a vote for any pro-abortion candidate is EVER justified, is for a proportional issue on the part of the opposing candidate. But since the Republican candidates, by and large, do not support anything that causes nearly as many deaths as abortion does each year, there IS no proportional reason for voting for Obama, or any of the other pro-abortion Democrats.

It's REAL hard to convince some folks though, because they're still thinking, I guess, that they're voting for their Grandmother's Democrat party, when that one died in 1972.

I thought the Pope and the Bishops had been making it pretty clear what the Church taught on abortion.

I’ve been chatting with a good Episcopalian friend of mine. I’ve told him I don’t question his faith, but don’t understand how he comes to his decisions to be a liberal democrat.
