If the ticket prices weren’t so high at Washington Nationals games, they’ll be nearing a sell-out in their every game since it’s their inaugural year in the new stadium.

Not being the ex-Expos, and not sucking would also help immensely.

The Nats are in the belly of the beast. Lobbying firms buy up the luxury and field level seats. If a lobbying firm spends $200,000 on tickets, invites some key legislators to games, and gets a $20 million earmark or tax exemption; then the bribery system is in full bloom and the Nats make their money too.

Fans don't have to buy tickets, it's their choice, but the taxpayers are stuck. We are the real losers in this bribery system.
