Posted on 05/11/2008 6:07:14 PM PDT by F15Eagle
Somebody had the quotes from Obama's books posted on a thread today or late last night that seemed to be a good set. I forgot to bookmark the thread.
Does anybody know that post and please a reconfirm on the accuracy? Thanks in advance.
Have done a search for “Marxist Musings”?
Sorry, I ain’t seen it. ;0)
One of these braniacs on FR will know for sure ~ it should be entertaining.
lol - somebody had about 5 or 6 excellent quotes - I’d like to share them with other people. I’ll ping others as maybe they saw it.
Yes! that’s the one ... thanks!!!
Oh and to ask the obvious ... but to be certain because I’m going to take these as factual to present to others.
You *personally* verified these quotes from these books?
Just for accuracy’s sake of course.
I did the same thing, glad she posted it again for me to see. Look at post #70, I’m sure that is what your looking for.
F15Eagle, there in lies the problem. I questioned the fact that there was no page numbers. Since there isn't I wouldn't use them as factual. I was told the person got this info in an e-mail.
Oh, SORRY. What a mess. (my post above containing the quotes} I had that all separated out into paragraphs. I don’t know what happened!!
I’ll try it again:
QUOTES FROM OBAMA’S BOOKS EXPRESSING HIS ADMIRATION OF ISLAM AND DISDAIN FOR CHRISTIANS:
Quote from Barack Obamas book, Dreams Of My Father:
THE PERSON WHO MADE ME PROUDEST OF ALL, THOUGH, WAS MY [half brother], ROY..HE CONVERTED TO ISLAM.
From Dreams of my Father, IN INDONESIA, I SPEND TWO YEARS AT A MUSLIM SCHOOL ..I STUDIED THE KORAN..
From Audacity of Hope: LOLO (Obamas step father) FOLLOWED ISLAM....I LOOKED TO LOLO FOR GUIDANCE.
From The Audacity Of Hope, I WILL STAND WITH THE MUSLIMS SHOULD THE POLITICAL WINDS OF WAR SHIFT IN AN UGLY DIRECTION..
From The Audacity Of Hope, WE ARE NO LONGER JUST A CHRISTIAN NATION, we are also a Jewish nation, a MUSLIM NATION, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.
QUOTES FROM OBAMA’S BOOKS EXPRESSING DISDAIN FOR WHITES:
From Dreams of My Father, I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHERS RACE. Barack Hussein Obama
From Dreams of my Father, The emotion between the races could never be pure, even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, THE OTHER RACE (WHITE) WOULD ALWAYS REMAIN JUST THAT; MENACING, ALIEN AND APART”. Barack Hussein Obama
From Dreams Of My Father: That hate hadnt gone away, he wrote, BLAMING WHITE PEOPLE some CRUEL, some IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives. Barack Hussein Obama
From Dreams Of My Father, There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs, he wrote. It remained necessary to prove which side you were on,to show your LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT and name names Barack Hussein Obama
THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!
A WHITE CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED FOR MAKING SUCH STATEMENTS!!!
Yeah, that’s what I want EXACTLY. Page numbers. No offense to those sharing information and I am grateful.
I just need to know where to turn, paperback or hardback if numbered differently, to show these to folks.
I bought a standard english koran for that very reason and hope to acquire the hadiths someday.
I saw “Audacity of Hope” in paperback but want to turn to the page numbers then I can pass them on with 100% confidence.
YES. The quotes are in his books.
I’ve used these quotes against Obama on various boards since Obama started runing for POTUS.
I was astonished when I read them, and could NOT believe that I had never seen anyone call him on it.
The replies from Obama zombies usually fall along this line, ‘Well, he was struggling, trying to find himself. He was being very candid’.
My reply: He SAID it. It’s there in black and white in his books. There’s no way you can spin that.
If a white candidate had those kind of remarks out in print-or even hinted at such things, he/she would be crucified.
That usually shuts them up.
Thanks. I believe you. I need to put page numbers to this and all and I don’t have time right now to read his book.
Surely some enterprising FReeper has and can put hard page numbers, preferably from the cheaper paperback version, to the quotes.
I didn’t get them from an e-mail.
I don’t have the page numbers. You could check out the books from a library and get the page numbers if it’s that important. (If you can bear to wade through his books.I hear his books are incredibly dull LOL)
These articles with the quotes are from a reputable newspaper site. Would they risk their rep on making up lies?
I don’t think it’s that. It’s that one must keep things at an easy level to make an impact.
I noticed this with korans. Some “famous” verses are off by a number or two in different korans. I use the most “famous” numbers but folks will sometimes look at it and think you’re being inaccurate.
Page numbers will help our fight. It’s a good idea and thew newspaper should have listed them. Thanks for the links though, I’m already passing some of that on to others.
cyberella, I was refering to the poster in the link I provided. He told me he got them in an e-mail. I hadn’t seen your link until after I posted. Still a reputable paper should have given the page numbers.
Barooque did the reads for his audio. I heard this through Hugh Hewitt’s program.
Hugh was shocked because these were the quotes he knew woold get attention! Now not only does the opposition have these quotes, but they have them in Obama’s own voice.
If McCain won’t play them on a campaign spot some 527s will, whether the GOP nominee likes it or not.
The books and audio do not exist, until October. ;)
B. O. .....that stinks!
More quotes and excerpts from the articles:

FROM ‘CAN A PAST OF ISLAM CHANGE THE PATH TO THE PRESIDENCY FOR OBAMA?”
Filed under: WASHINGTON , Bill Sammon , 2008 Trail: Obama
“In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school, he wrote in his first memoir, Dreams from my Father. The teacher wrote to tell my mother that I made faces during Koranic studies. (ISNT THE OBAMA CAMP DENYING THAT HE WENT TO A MUSLIM SCHOOL AND STUIDIED THE KORAN? OBAMA SAYS HERE HE DID!)
Obama whose father, stepfather, brother and grandfather were Muslims explained his own first name, Barack, in Dreams: It means Blessed. In Arabic. My grandfather was a Muslim. (OBAMA SAYS HERE HIS NAME IS ARABIC. ARENT THEY NOW DENYING HIS NAME IS ARABIC??)
He comes from a father who was a Muslim, said civil rights author Juan Williams of National Public Radio. I mean, I think that given were at war with Muslim extremists, that presents a problem. (GOOD POINT, JUAN.)
Obamas grandfather, Hussein Onyango Obama, for whom the senator was given his middle name, Hussein, was fiercely devoted to Islam, according to an account in Dreams. The grandfather, who died in 1979, was described by his widow when Obama visited Kenya in the late 1980s.
During the five years that we would live with my stepfather in Indonesia, I was sent first to a neighborhood Catholic school and then to a predominately Muslim school, Obama wrote in Audacity. In our household, the Bible, the Koran, and the Bhagavad Gita sat on the shelf.”
Lolo followed a brand of Islam that could make room for the remnants of more ancient animist and Hindu faiths, Obama recalled. He explained that a man took on the powers of whatever he ate: One day soon, he promised, he would bring home a piece of tiger meat for us to shareIt was to Lolo that I turned to for guidance and instruction, Obama recalled. He introduced me as his son..(THE STEPFATHER WAS PRACTICING MUSLIM. HE WAS BOUND TO HAVE SENT BO DOWN THE PATH OF ISLAM)
Although Obama wrote of puzzling out the meaning of the muezzins call to evening prayer, he was not raised as a Muslim, according to the senators office. Nor was he raised as a Christian by his mother, a white American named Ann Dunham who was deeply skeptical of religion.
Her memories of the Christians who populated her youth were not fond ones, Obama wrote. For my mother, organized religion too often dressed up closed-mindedness in the garb of piety, cruelty and oppression in the cloak of righteousness.
Malcolm Xs autobiography seemed to offer something different, Obama wrote. His repeated acts of self-creation spoke to me; the blunt poetry of his words, his unadorned insistence on respect, promised a new and uncompromising order, martial in its discipline, forged through sheer force of will. (HE ADMIRED THE MUSLIM ACTIVIST, MALCOMB X!)
I remained a reluctant skeptic, doubtful of my own motives, wary of expedient conversion, having too many quarrels with God to accept a salvation too easily won, he wrote.
But after much soul searching, he eventually was baptized at Trinity United Church of Christ. (OH YEAH? WHERES THE BAPTISMAL RECORD? NEVER BEEN FOUND. SOMEONE UNDERCOVER PRETENDING TO BE A MUSLIM CALLED OBAMA’S CHURCH AND WAS INFORMED THAT HE WOULD BE ACCEPTED THERE, THAT THEY HAD MUSLIM MEMBERS!)
Meanwhile, Obama remained sharply critical of what he called the religious absolutism of the Christian right.
In Audacity, the senator wrote that such believers insist not only that Christianity is Americas dominant faith, but that a particular, fundamentalist brand of that faith should drive public policy, overriding any alternative source of understanding, whether the writings of liberal theologians, the findings of the National Academy of Sciences, or the words of Thomas Jefferson.
As for the Democratic Party, Obama observed that a core segment of our constituency remains stubbornly secular in orientation, and fears rightly, no doubt that the agenda of an assertively Christian nation may not make room for them or their life choices.
Although the overwhelming majority of Americans describe themselves as Christians, Obama does not believe that any one religion should define the United States.
We are no longer just a Christian nation, he argues in Audacity, which was published last year. We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers.(DISDAIN FOR CHRISTIANS)
FROM ‘TRAPPED BETWEEN TWO WORLDS’:
Filed under: WASHINGTON , Bill Sammon , 2008 Trail: Obama
Although Obama spent various portions of his youth living with his white maternal grandfather and Indonesian stepfather, he vowed that he would never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didnt speak to my own. It was into my fathers image, the black man, son of Africa, that Id packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.(HIS HEROES; MUSLIMS/MILITANTS)
There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs, he wrote. It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.(LOYALTY TO THE BLACK RACE?
AS PRESIDENT, WHAT ABOUT THE WHITE RACE?)
To admit our doubt and confusion to whites, to open up our psyches to general examination by those who had caused so much of the damage in the first place, seemed ludicrous, itself an expression of self-hatred, he wrote. (THOSE WHO HAD CAUSED MUCH OF THE DAMAGE?)
After graduating from college, Obama eventually went to Chicago to interview for a job as a community organizer. His racial attitudes came into play as he sized up the man who would become his boss.
There was something about him that made me wary, Obama wrote. A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.(AND WHITE???)
Such liberals would have little basis for suspicion after reading some of Obamas conclusions about the white race, which he once described as that ghostly figure that haunted black dreams.
It was probably a copy of one of my posts containing the quotes that was in the e-mail. I have posted them in dozens of boads. I’ve been using these quotes to bash Obama since he first announced for pres candidate. LOL
We definitely have to keep getting this out there NOW ... we cannot wait until October.
The quotes in Barry’s voice are a good catch. Thanks.
It takes time for this stuff to get through to most of the population. There are still folks who don’t know the content of Wright’s sermons, Barry’s wife getting a special “raise”, etc. etc. etc.
Let’s keep up the good work today and tomorrow and so forth. We cannot afford to wait.
Right. We need to launch an all out campaign to bring Obama down. NOW.
On board with that. We’ll just have to keep pushing info. A lot of folks don’t have access nor interest in the internet so we have to get info to their relatives who hopefully can digest the info and pass it on.
I’m giving out some old 3.5 disks with YouTube links on them. For those who might want to this here are the links.

Obama’s wife is a real goldmine, too.
I take it for granted that her commentary will be picked up by the media, but she's already said some pretty outrageous stuff and it's gone by the wayside.
Like a lot of conservatives, I'm a bit confused with the fact that McCain says that he will not use such issues in the campaign? I guess maybe that he is expecting for it to give him political cover from his first marriage and the Keating 5.
How incredibly naive.
Here is the one about 57 states.
Later in life, however, he was drawn to the writings of an influential American Muslim who served as the spokesman for the militant Nation of Islam.
Malcolm Xs autobiography seemed to offer something different, Obama wrote. His repeated acts of self-creation spoke to me; the blunt poetry of his words, his unadorned insistence on respect, promised a new and uncompromising order, martial in its discipline, forged through sheer force of will.
He added: Malcolms discovery toward the end of his life, that some whites might live beside him as brothers in Islam, seemed to offer some hope of eventual reconciliation.
Thanks for posting - bookmarked.
This guy wants to be our President and control our government. Pay close attention to the last comment!! Below are a few lines from Obama’s books “ his words:
From Dreams of My Father: “I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.”
From Dreams of My Father: “I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my motherââ¬â¢s race.”
From Dreams of My Father: “There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.”
From Dreams of My Father: ; “It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.”
From Dreams of My Father: “I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa , that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, Dubois and Mandela.”
From Audacity of Hope: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
Google 698,000 hits said he said it.
But of course everyone is saying that quote is taken “out of context’.
